Food has always been an important part of Paulina Reyna’s life. “My mother, Livia, is a wonderful cook and so is my husband,” she says. Paulina and her husband, Eric Herrara, own and operate El Guacamole. Livia and Eric continue to cook at the restaurant, which opened in 2015. “One day we just decided to open a restaurant,” she recalls. All three agreed, as if it was meant to be.
It’s a family business and Paulina considers El Guacamole’s customers family, too. “We love being in Millville and getting to know the people here. They love our food, of course, especially the chimichanga and guacamole. But it has been nice getting to know them over the years. We know what they like, their favorite meal, even their favorite soda. It really is like a big family,” she says.
Home-style, freshly cooked food served in a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere is their trademark. And they have replicated the experience at the shore. They opened a second location in Ocean City four years ago.
