NEW & UPDATED events for 2018

12-25-2017

The Promotions and Events Committee has lined up the events for the first quarter of 2018.

January 16 - 20, 2018 the Glasstown Arts District will kick off "Days of Service" inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr. There will be a pet food drive and a variety of galleries and shops will take community donations. Our furry friends are often forgotten or can't be helped by their owners because of financial hardship. The food will be donated to animal shelter(s) and food banks.

Starting on January 19th (Third Friday) we will begin our "Valentines for Vets." This is a great family event. If you come out on Third Friday, there will craft tables in a variety of galleries and shops with supplies to create your special valentine. Just prior to Valentine's Day, we will distribute them to veterans organizations.

Continue your celebration of Valentine's Day on February 16, Third Friday. Take in "Oklahoma" at the Levoy Theatre. There's great dining, live music at pubs, galleries and Bogart's Books & Cafe. Your sweetheart will enjoy a night out on the town.

March's Third Friday, the 16th, will see the "new" Pot-of-Gold scavenger hunt. This is another family-friendly event where you match the photo display with items inside the Arts District's businesses. If you find them all, you leave the completed "clue sheet" at any participating shop for a chance on a large basket of prizes.

There is always great art to view and for sale, entertainment, shopping and dining on Third Fridays from 6 to 9 pm...later times in some of the venues.
