New Openings and Business Expansion

02-23-2017

With the opening of the Cumberland County College Arts & Innovation Center (Clay College and more!) new businesses are opening and getting ready to do so. The CCC Arts & Innovation is holding ceramic classes and workshops and in September will have all of the students for the entire art and some sciences in the fabulous 21,000 square foot building. Watch for the Grand Opening on March 24, but stop by any day (use the front door buzzer) and on Third Friday nights. At 137 N. High Street, Casa de Zeus Vine Shed has opened after starting a year before in the Village on High. The sell hand-crafted bar accessories, wine making tools, and now sell wine from Southwind Winery! The also sell international coffees. The shop is located across from the Levoy Theatre and is open Wednesday to Friday from 6 to 8 pm; Saturday from 10am to 8 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm. You'll soon see the opening of the Arts Cafe at the corner of High and Mulberry Streets and they will specialize in breakfast and lunch and feature Bagels! Gallery Nest - a multi use facility - will be doing some major work on the building formerly known as Regional Music. The owner is focused on an art-based retail and online auction for artists to have a new opportunity to grow. There will be a retail and social environment in the building. No doubt that South Jersey has had a very slow recovery after the Great Recession; but with the opening of a fine educational facility in the middle of the arts district, we are on the move again!
