Verna Herman has been part of the Flightline restaurant family since long before she took it over. “I’ve been here 34 years,” she says, with pride. The Gifford family were the previous owners – Verna worked for them for 16 years before taking ownership.

She says the location has been a restaurant at least since the 1960s. Today’s Flightline specializes in serving up homemade treats with homestyle service. “My goal is to keep everybody comfortable and make them feel at home. We make everything right here, by hand, it’s all homemade,” she says. With help from her extended family, she also caters outside events.
